Series of Objects
Materials: wire, dried flowers
Technique: crochet
Dimensions: 10–20 cm
The series consists of wire figures, each containing dried flowers placed within an open cell.
The structure allows access to the contents and preserves their visibility. The project explores memory as a material trace. The dried plants represent a past moment—not as an image, but as a physical imprint.
The work focuses on mechanisms of preservation: how experience can be fixed while remaining open to reinterpretation.
Here, the archive is a structure capable of change, remaining open to additions, shifts, and new connections.
“Balancer”
Mobile of 7 Objects
Materials: wire, dried flowers
Technique: crochet
Dimensions: ~10–12 cm
Collaborative work with Vera Sanina-Gvozdikova
Created as part of the “Working Paradise” laboratory
The project emerged from the “Archive” series and shifted toward observing the urban environment.
During repeated walks through Tbilisi, we documented details of the urban fabric: fragments of facades, openings, plants. These elements became tactile markers—points of contact with the everyday.
The work is based on a walking practice as a way of attentive engagement with space. Repeating the same route reveals seasonal shifts, subtle changes, and environmental rhythms.
The mobile was chosen as a form capable of holding dynamic balance. Its construction allows for redistribution and replacement of elements—the structure remains whole despite changes.
Through repetition, movement, and material, the project draws attention to the present—not as something finished, but as a living, sympathetic network, fluid and non-hierarchical.
