From June 28 to 30, a group exhibition by members of the Particles community took place at the tmp_space art space in Batumi, Georgia. It was titled “White: Beginning | End.”

White is both empty and multifaceted at the same time. Like a quantum paradox, white signifies both the end and the beginning of something new. It represents the collision of chaos and order, illusion and reality, and everything in between—like white noise. It can be a symptom of decay and loss, or a place to search for structure and support.

Using the metaphor of white, the participants continue to explore the theme of boundaries through various aspects of the personal and collective, earthly and poetic.

White vividly highlights feelings or their atrophy, pulls memories from the depths of the mind, or dissolves everything into the void with its power. Chosen as an auxiliary metaphor, white is refracted in different ways in the works of the “White: Beginning | End” exhibition: as a background, canvas, veil, shroud, net, or an element of white noise.

The diversity of interpretations is layered over the diversity of mediums (photography, digital graphics, video art, installation, embroidery, ceramics), further emphasizing the uniqueness of the Particles artistic community. At the same time, the “magic” of white and the shared worldview of the artists weave the works into a multi-layered and coherent narrative.
