- “DEATH” — exhibition within the framework of the “RUBEZH” festival, curated by Alsu Garapova, at the art space “Zazerkalie” (Tbilisi, Georgia)
The work addresses death as a form of liberation from imposed roles, structures of power, and prescribed modes of existence.
The forms of the objects combine human and animal features. This hybridity is tied to a state in which a former identity is losing its stability, while a new one has not yet taken shape. This mixture makes it possible to show a transition from social definition to a condition that has not yet acquired a final form.
Liberation in the work is understood as a transitional state in which former boundaries dissolve and the possibility of another mode of existence emerges. Death here becomes the condition for this transition.
In this context, the acceptance of death is connected to the reassembly of the self and movement toward a new form of existence.
The work is in progress and continues to evolve.
