“Beings” is a project exploring the interplay between the past and present through contemporary art. At its core are masks inspired by ancient Greek mythology, which become symbols of the transformation of time. These masks bridge the archetypes of the past with modern perceptions, examining how myths and rituals continue to live within the cultural consciousness of the technological age.
Each mask embodies entities associated with the archetypes of chaos, fate, and nature. These images simultaneously belong to the past while resonating with the contemporary human experience. They serve as symbols of transition between the sacred and the mundane, the unconscious and the rational. The masks capture elements of mythological heritage, emphasizing the cyclical nature of time and the constancy of human nature.
The works were created for the play “The Foreigner” by “Dodo” theatre.
